The Gonzalez and Ponce “Little Men” Incident.

On November 28, 1954, at approx. 2 a.m., Gustavo Gonzalez and Jose Ponce were driving a panel truck in the area of Caracas, Venezuela, when a glowing sphere some 8 to 10 feet wide and hovering about 6 feet over the road appeared in front of them. Both men got out of the vehicle to investigate, when a strange dwarfish looking man came at them. Gonzalez grabbed the dwarfish hair-covered being and noticed that though it was light in weight (he estimated about 35 pounds), the creature was extremely strong, knocking Gonzalez some 15 feet through the air with a mere push with one hand! As the bristly haired being next leapt at him with glowing eyes and claws extended, a now terrified Gonzalez took out a knife and stabbed at its shoulder, but his knife glanced off of its body as though it were made of steel. Next another creature of similar appearance appeared from the hovering sphere and blinded Gonzalez with a beam of bright light from a small tube.

Jose Ponce observed two other creatures appear from some bushes close by carrying chunks of dirt or rock in their arms. They effortlessly leapt up into the sphere. Apparently, the only kind of clothing they were wearing resembled loin cloths!

A very frightened Ponce then made his way to a nearby police station, located about a block and a half away, and soon afterwards Gonzalez also arrived. Initially, the police were skeptical and suspected that the men were both drunk, but examination soon revealed that they had not been drinking. The police found a long and deep red scratch on the side of Gonzalez. Clearly both men were exhausted and appeared to be genuinely frightened, and so they were given sedatives and Gonzales was placed under medical observations for several days.

In a bizarre synchronistic twist of fate or whatever you want to call it, one of the medical doctors who had been treated two young boys who had also described a skirmish and injuries related to a UFO and little men encounter, later confessed that he knew that the stories were true. He stated that he was driving back from a night call and had actually witnessed a portion of the encounter experienced by Ponce and Gonalez! He too fled the scene quickly, and did not want his name given in the media.

According to an APRO (Aerial Phenomena Research Organization) representative in Caracas, a member of the Caracas pressed had informed him that following the doctor’s statement, he was invited to go to Washington, D.C., to share his story with American authorities.
