ARE's 2007 Ancient Mysteries Conference

Alternate Perceptions Magazine Co-Sponsoring Event

Updates on Search For Atlantis to be Presented

On October 4-7, 2007 the ARE's annual Ancient Mysteries Conference will be held in Virginia Beach, VA. Alternate Perceptions Magazine is a co-sponsor of the event this year. While this is widely considered to be the premiere ancient mysteries conference held in America each year, this year's conference promises to be a major event because of new findings regarding Cygnus, Giza, 2012, and Atlantis research. The ARE's 2007 Search for Atlantis efforts will be detailed at the conference.

Summary of 2007 Search For Atlantis Discoveries:

Several ARE sanctioned expeditions have taken place in 2007 in the ongoing search for Atlantis. Drs. Greg & Lora Little will present the finds, which include:

Discovery and identification of over 20 dark, uniform underwater features on the Great Bahama Bank. These have long been considered to be enigmatic and perhaps the ruins of structures. Among the finds on these was: the remains of an old wooden boat, the remains of a crashed plane, three stone formations, dumped bombs and other materials. A total of five crashed planes were found and visited on land an in water. At least two of these were aircraft reported to have disappeared into the Bermuda Triangle. The discovery of pirate fortifications on Andros along with other archaeological features. The discovery of the remains of two stone dams on a small, uninhabited island North of Andros. These were formed with vertical stone embedded into the ground. The discovery of the remains of a massive stone wall in shallow water off the same island. The wall was made from huge cut blocks of limestone stacked in a long, curving line. In some areas of the wall, blocks remain piled on top of blocks forming a line.

Extensive exploration of tens of miles of the areas around Andros was performed with side-scan sonar and remote underwater video. The Andros Platform was digitally scanned with side-scan sonar showing the uniqueness of the three tiered stone formation. Plus, more information on the Bimini Road and the discovery of a second underwater harbor remains at Bimini — even more impressive than the Bimini Road. The results of a large side-scan sonar project around Bimini will be presented. Updates on carbon dating of Bimini Road stone and the proof that the Bimini Road was an ancient harbor will be made. Finally, a report on the rediscovery of a long-lost find in the lore of Bimini: the validation of the presence of dozens of long columns near Bimini, which have been disputed by skeptics as never existing.

In addition, Andrew Collins, author of Gateway to Atlantis and The Cygnus Mystery, will appear at the conference. Collins' article on the Carolina Bays event can be found here. The July 07 issue of Alternate Perceptions contains the first of three reports on the 2007 Search For Atlantis Expeditions.
