Interview with Ann Smith

On Saturday afternoon, March 5th, 2005, I conducted a very interesting phone interview with a lady out in Oklahoma. Ann Smith is not her real name, though. Her true identity is on file here at Alternate Perceptions. Initially, back in February, Ann contacted Whitley Strieber via email after listening to his radio interview with our own Dr. Greg Little regarding Greg’s personal exploration of an ancient site in Guatemala that might possibly be one of the locations of the Hall of Records that the late Edgar Cayce described in his mysterious entrancements. Ann thought that Greg’s description of the site might correspond with an experience she had under the guidance of apparent UFO intelligences. Here now, in her own words, is this most unusual story, and many, many others.

Ann Smith: I don’t know if you’ve heard of the Star Knowledge conferences. There’s this Native American man by the name of Standing Elk. He now goes by the name Golden Eagle I think. But we had a conference in San Diego and that conference was going on at the same time that they had those major sightings over Pheonix. Anyway, we had a speaker there who was from Guayama, Puerto Rico. Jose Fernandez was his name. He claimed to be a contactee. He always had numerous pictures of things that he would show everybody of his experiences with UFOs. And I was at the front desk and he came running down the steps. He said, “I’ve got to go! If you want to go with me, I’ve got to go! I’ve got to go!” I said, “Why? What’s up?” He said, “There’s a UFO calling me.” So he goes out the door and I’m with a customer so I can’t leave. He comes back about 30 minutes later and he’s got this Polaroid picture of a UFO, water still dripping off of it, coming out of San Diego Bay.

And I was like, “Holy Cow.” And it was kind of good that it was a Polaroid because you can’t doctor those things, and it was the real thing.

Editor: You must have been thinking, “Darn, why couldn’t I have gotten away from the desk.”

Ann: Yup, no kidding. But then the second Star Knowledge conference was an interesting thing in that there was a group of maybe 20 people in this room, it was in between speakers, and there were just a few people milling around the auditorium area, and in walks these two hybrid women. They very definitely looked like they were hybrid. They said that they came to say hello and to let us know that they supported what we were doing in putting conferences together on ET’s.

Editor: They just walked in the door?

Ann: They just walked in the door. They weren’t very tall. I would say they were under 5 foot. They had blondish brown hair. Very thin hair, but they had hair. Their heads were a little bit fuller around the top part of their head and then their faces were quite narrowed in the chin area, and they had large eyes, kind of set off more to the side of their face. Their eyes weren’t as close to the nose as what ours is, and then their nose and their mouth were very small. And they had ears. You could see the ears through their hair.

I couldn’t see their hands. Everybody crowded around them, those that were in the room and saw them, you couldn’t see their hands anymore. So I couldn’t tell what the hands and feet were like, but they were wearing clothing like you and I wear, and they spoke our language, and what I could see and perceive was that while they were talking to everyone they were gleaning information from each person that they talked to. It was like they were downloading their story.

Editor: So they were communicating like just regular people?

Ann: Yup. They spoke.

Editor: But you had the impression that they were also taking in telepathically information.

Ann. Yes. Exactly.

Editor: And where and when was this?

Ann: Oh gosh. I’m thinking maybe 1997. And it was in Estes Park, Colorado, and that UFO conference was a pretty interesting conference. Not only did we see a mothership hovering over the area...I was going back to the airport, coming down off the mountain into Denver, and I looked up into the clouds. I was just exhausted from that 5 day conference, you know, and I’m really leaning back and just sort of resting and I notice this silver ball come out of this cloud and then back up into the cloud. And I thought, “Did I see what I think I just saw?” Then it came back from the way it had gone in, back down again and then back up, and I’m thinking, “Wow, that’s interesting.” And then it did it again and then my thought went out, “Well Gee, is that the same silver ball I’m seeing?” And two of them came out and crossed their paths and went back up in, and so then I asked the other people who were in the car, “Did you guys see that?” and ------ “Yeah, I’ve been watching it.”

Editor: So this was the same conference where you saw the two hybrid women?

Ann: Right.

Editor: Was this after seeing them?

Ann: It was after. The conference was over. That was an interesting sighting.

Editor: And we haven’t even gotten to Biloxi, Mississippi.

Ann: Nope. (laughs) My story really began, I’ll start with the year 1991. I met this girl that claimed that she had contact with E.T.s and that she was taken on a regular basis and that she had knowledge and worked with them directly in the things that they were doing with earth and its inhabitants. I said, “Well, you know, for me seeing is believing. Can you just make arrangements for a fly by?” And I, at that point, had never seen a UFO. She said, “I can do better than that.” And I said, “How is that?” “Well,” she said, “I’ll ask if they can come and take you on a UFO ride,” and I said, “I’d love it!”

So about two weeks later, I was having a lot of problems with my back and I had fibromyalgia, and there were a lot of things going on with me physically healthwise, and we thought, “Maybe it’s the mattress that’s the problem.” So we took the mattress off the bed and we laid it down on the floor that night, and we were sleeping on the floor, on that mattress, and I felt their presence. I felt them come in, and I knew they were there. I tried to roll over, but I couldn’t. I felt myself just kind of rising up, and there was an E.T. touching me and they had me in a standing position. Now I remember this whole thing.

There were two E.T.’s and that girl was there. We went down the hall and out the back door to a much smaller craft that we got into and we went across the Gulf of Mississippi so fast that it was just absolutely incredible how fast we went across the water. We weren’t in the water and we weren’t floating on the water. We were just above the water at that height, and I would guess, because Kessler Air Force Base is there, that they were trying to avoid radar contact. Then we went out and went straight up and we docked. I could see out the window. We docked and went into this much larger UFO. Then they took me into this room, what I call the clean room, and they actually took my clothes off. I had no control as far as “No, I don’t want you to undress me.” I was like, “This is what’s happening,” but I remember it. This is the whole thing. And there was this stuff that was sprinkled down on me that was kind of golden, shiny. It was weird. It almost felt like it was sticky too. I don’t know what it was. I felt like they were decontaminating me in some way, and then they put this robe-like thing on me and they took me in and they showed me several things around the UFO. And their room, where they do some of their experiments and so forth. And they do sleep. I learned that, and they have beds that they lay on. They do rest. And they eat. I asked them what they eat, and they eat a paste like tanish colored stuff, that’s weird looking too. (Laughs)

Editor: So these were the greys?

Ann: No. They greys were with these guys but they were more like the tall whites.

Editor: The Nordic types?

Ann: Yeah. And the one who worked with this girl the most he was, I would say, seven feet tall. He was very tall.

Editor: Oh, a basketball player.

Ann: Oh, no kidding. I’m not very tall. I’m only 5 foot 1. I stood in front of it, and what I recall is seeing his...he had a belt on his uniform...I recall the belt being at eye level. That’s how tall he was.

So that was the beginning of a series of being taken.

Editor: So this was a very physical, or did it seem like...

Ann: No, very physical. I got up the next morning and I looked in the mirror and my face was like it was terribly sunburned, and I didn’t feel very good. I trembled, I felt sick to my stomach, I felt like I was disconnected from my body, and the only thing that I could attribute that to was that I may have had some radiation exposure to that experience, but it was definitely proof to me that I had had, that my lucid like dream and what I had remembered and what I saw throughout the night was absolutely the truth.

And so the girl called me. She said, “How’d you like the trip?” I had said nothing to her about it.

Editor: So she knew?

Ann: She knew! She knew! And I said, “Well I’m going to test you. Tell me, where was I when you guys came into the room?” She said, “You had your mattress on the floor, you were laying on the floor, and you had your back turned toward the door and your husband’s back was turned toward you.” And that was absolutely the truth. She knew.

Editor: What was the small craft shaped like? Was it the regular disk?

Ann: Yeah, it was round and so was the much larger one, from what I could see of it. It was so big I didn’t get a full view of it, but I’m pretty sure that it was round as well.

Editor: Okay, so the smaller one looked like the flying saucer type?

Ann: Yeah.

Editor: With the dome on top?

Ann. Yeah, it did.

Editor: Okay.

Ann: And there was small windows in it. But anyway, that was the beginning of a series of events where they took me and showed me things.

Editor: Beginning in 1991?

Ann: 1991. Then in about...let’s see...I didn’t know anything about Edgar Cayce other than I remember reading something about that he said that there was an ancient library somewhere, and I just never really thought about where it possibly was. I knew about the story about Atlantis, and on a trip they took me underwater and it was like I’m thinking how is this that I can be underwater and see the ocean creatures and still breath. It was like I was in this bubble. It was a city with columns and very large stone pieces. They showed me that, and that I do believe was off the coast of Cuba, and then another trip is the one they took me...because I was wanting to know the truth...my question to them was, “I want to know the truth about the existence of earth and mankind,” and so they took me on kind of a series of things to show me some of what is going on and we went on that one trip where we went...I’m pretty sure it was the Yucatan or some where in South America. But I think it’s the Yucatan, I really do. Because based on the description that Dr. Little had described on Whitley Streiber’s show it looked like it was what he was describing and you know how you get these goose bumps when you know that something is the truth? (She laughs)

Editor: I have a friend who calls them truth bumps.

Ann: Exactly. I got goose bumps all over and I go, “Oh my gosh, I’ve seen what he’s talking about.” Anyway I don’t remember getting off of the UFO. What I remember is that there was six of us, including this one girl that I was telling you about. There was a man and three women.

Editor: These were all human earth people.

Ann: Right. Well, I’m sure they were. They were being shown something. Obviously they wanted them to know about this and we walked up at an angle, so it was like a hill kind of thing, but it was almost like a pathway, and we get up towards the top and we could see, off to the left, there was an actual pyramid. There appeared to be a pyramid, but it was pretty well grown over with the jungle, and there were some steps and things around the area, and they walked up to this, what I thought was just underbrush and overgrowth, and they put their hand on something, I don’t know if they pushed a rock or if they used their powers to make it open, but the door swung open, from the center of the hole, if you know what I’m talking about.

Editor: Like a stone door?

Ann: Yeah, it was stone. Yes it was. But it swung open. It didn’t look like it was on hinges on the side of the door. It swung from the center. And what they told us was that this place was very special and that it contained information about earth’s ancient history. We went in, you could have gone back further, as near as we could see, and they had something that illuminated light. A little black box that illuminated it in there, and on the wall area there were hieroglyphs, of some kind, much like what I thought would be ancient Egypt’s hieroglyphs, or something similar to that. Inside there was some broken pottery, there was like a crystal skull in there, there were some other large crystals in there, but I never saw anything that looked like tablets, and that’s what Dr. Little is looking for is the tablets right?

Editor: Yeah, I think so.

Ann: But I didn’t see any in there. However, we did not go further into that cave like area, but we were told that eventually we would remember this event, and I did remember it, oh I guess about six months later. I just had like this recall, this vision. Almost like a flashback. Like a lot of abductees have. And I remembered it.

Editor: Now I imagine that when you had the flashback that you got on the phone with your friend because she was there...

Ann: I did ask her. I said, “I just had a flashback of something. Do you remember going to some place in South America?” She said, “Oh yes. That’s where we went and showed you guys where all of the ancient writings are.” She always knew about things. It was very, very, very unusual.

Editor: Did she have a sense of where it was too?

Ann: She said it was in Central America, or almost like close to South America. That’s what she said. And she’s not alive anymore to ask her more questions about that. She divorced her husband and I stayed in touch with her for a short time. She actually moved to Oklahoma long before I did. She moved to Grove, Oklahoma. And I stayed in touch for awhile and then we had a lot of things happen in our lives. We moved back to Virginia and I lost touch with her. I still had her address and phone number, and so when we moved here to Oklahoma I felt like I needed to try to re-establish our connection, and one day I was sitting here and I got like this image of her faintly in the room, and I’m thinking, “Oh God, what are the E.T.’s doing now?” Then she just disappeared. And I said, “I’ve got to call her.” So I called that number and her son answered the phone, and what he told me was that she had recently passed, and I said, “I’m sorry to hear that.” It just shocked me so much that she had passed and here she had just been in my house. I said, “What was the cause of her death?” and he said “It’s unknown at this time.” But she always said that the government was deeply involved with the E.T.’s that she worked with, and I believe that to be true because I do recall seeing people in uniform.

Editor: That would have been the Nordics?

Ann: Yeah. In fact, you’ll hear this about the greys. The greys are actually, she told me, split in what they believe in. The greys that work with the Nordics were on their side, and there were some greys that were on what they would call the dark side. They had a hidden agenda. So they were split, and so you never know when a grey visits you which one it is, and she also told me that as well.

But she said that the government was watching her, that when she was in Biloxi they came in and they confiscated all of her paperwork. She had been doing drawings and kind of journaling all of her experiences, and I think that she continued to journal because she said she was.

Editor: Did she have any military background?

Ann: None.

Editor: And yet the military was closely monitoring her?

Ann: Yes, the military...probably the FBI, or CIA. And she had numerous markings all over her body where they had done implants and different things.

Editor: Now have you had markings too?

Ann: Yes. I have. I had marks on my body the very first time they took me and I think that they were checking me. I can’t honestly say that I’ve had an implant. I think I had one, but not sure. I used to hear this funny ticking sound that was kind of around my forehead, but close to my temple, and it would speed up and slow down and it was like they were calibrating it or something. I don’t know. But that hasn’t happened in five or six years now. It’s been awhile. So it was either removed or it’s not working anymore.

Editor: So I guess from these experiences you decided to become a hypnotherapist and help other abductees.

Ann: Yes, I went to St. John’s University in Louisiana and studied for a year as a hypnotherapist and yes, I now help abductees out.

Editor: Now you said in an email that your phone line has been tapped.

Ann: It has been, and I think it’s recently. For awhile I took a break from working with anybody on anything. I also do psychic readings. When we moved to Washington state I took like a sabbatical from it and stepped away from it for a little while because it was becoming very, very stressful for me. I went to work for AT & T wireless actually, and worked for them until I got laid off, and then when my husband retired I opted to come back into working with hypnotherapy and doing readings, and that sort of thing, and so when we moved here to Oklahoma I kept thinking as soon as I get the house in order and get things unpacked and put away and so forth, then I would see about rejoining and working with MUFON. So finally, it was like all of a sudden I just had this urge I have...find out if there’s MUFON Meetings here in Oklahoma. So I went to MUFON’s major website and then it put me to the Oklahoma MUFON group, and I was just absolutely dumbfounded. Susan Hill [see interview February issue. Editor] lived here in Yukon at the time and we had just moved to Yukon. (Laughs)

Editor: It’s all connected! [which happens to be one of Susan’s pet expressions. Editor]

Ann: I know. I know. When I contacted her she said “We just bought another house. We’re getting ready to move.” She moved over into the northwest area of Oklahoma City. So that’s how I made my connection.

Editor: Okay. Interesting. So you went from Mississippi out to Washington state?

Ann: Well we went back to Virginia. We had been in Virginia for a number of years. My husband, at the time, worked for IBM. IBM stands for I’ve Been Moved (laughs). So we had spent almost five years in Mississippi, and then we went back to Virginia for two years, and then they sent him on an assignment out to Washington state, and from there we went to Florida for ten months, to finish up a job, and then he retired. We retired here in Oklahoma, basically looking for some place that was the cheapest place to live. Our daughter lived here.

Editor: Now you’ve been talking about 1991, ‘92, 93, along in there, and in an email you mention Biloxi, Mississippi, an event that took place in 1963?

Ann: I didn’t have memory of it until I started having my UFO encounters. Both my younger brother and I now recall that we were taken in about 1963, it may have been 1962, it has been so long ago. But I was in high school and there were sightings over Missoula, Montana, and there was this one farm family, kind of over the hill from us where we lived. We lived in a subdivision, but this family owned a farm that was on the other side of this big hill. They had made claims that the E.T.’s were coming every day, every afternoon, and taking their son, and they would let the horses out of the coral. Then there was a young kid, who was on his newspaper route in my neighborhood, he was trying to get his buddy up to go on this route with him early in the morning and he climbed up on this ladder and tapped on the kid’s bedroom window and when he looked back down, there was a little grey down there at the bottom of the ladder looking up at him. Scared him to death.

But anyway my younger brother and I were both taken and examined. He’s two years younger than me. He didn’t remember his experience until this last year. I remembered mine much earlier, but I never said anything to him because I was afraid that if I interfered with his memory in anyway that I might change his real memory.

Editor: So you just let him come to you first?

Ann: He finally came to me. He said, “You know, something happened when we were kids living in Montana.” I said, “Oh? Yeah? Tell me about it.” And he said, “I think we were taken by aliens.” I said, “I know you’re right,” and he lives in Fort Worth now, and in this past year he’s had a couple of experiences that were very unusual for him. So I think it’s kind of in our family, if you want to put it that way.

Editor: It might have something to do with genetics or something?

Ann: Well, it’s entirely possible.

Editor: Was there anything then connected with Biloxi, Mississippi in ‘63, or was that later?

Ann: No. Much later. But I had another experience, and I’m almost positive that he was an E.T. In Biloxi. I have a photograph, and my guess is that you’ve probably seen it, but I’ve got one of the original photographs of the Shroud of Turin, a face on it that could be Jesus, and I would frequently take, back in the early ‘90s. (Now) color photo copying was not real prevalent, and there were only two places that I knew of in southern Mississippi that we could go to get copies made. One was the mall and another was at an engineering firm way out in Gulfport, Mississippi. And for some strange reason I decided that I was going to go out to this engineering place and have these photocopies made to give to people. When I walked in there, there was this really tall man. He looked emaciated, he looked like he was anorexic, and he was wearing a suit from the 1950s, and it was an ugly brown color and he was wearing a hat from like the 1950s.

Editor: Oh. Kind of like these MIB people report.

Ann: Sort of, but they’re always seen wearing black.

Editor: Yeah, but they’re often seen wearing out of date clothing or driving out of date cars.

Ann: Exactly, exactly. Well, I didn’t think anything of it when I saw him there. Now let me explain to you to get to this engineering place you have to drive there. It is out in the country a ways. You can’t just park somewhere and walk down a street. It was a gravel road. And there was one car, in the driveway, and I would assume it was the clerk that was there, and I walked in and there he was. I was surprised to see him there, and I walked up to the counter and I told the clerk what I wanted and he goes off into the back room to make photo copies and see if he can come up with what I wanted, and the guy walks up to me and he says, “Is that a picture of Jesus on the Shroud?” I said, “Well yes it is.” And he says, “Well, you know you’re a chosen one.” I just stepped back and I really looked at him, and his energy was very different. He says to me, “Do you believe in pyramid power?” I said, “Well yes I do.” This is the first time I had ever heard the word stargate. I told me that the pyramids of Giza were a stargate to Orion.” I was just like “What’s he talking about? I don’t understand?” It was almost like scientific about how you can go through time and space and there’s like this stargate or portal into other worlds and other solar systems, and so the clerk came back in and he shuts up and I say, “Yeah, that’s what I want. I want ten of these.” He goes back into the back room to make ten copies and I said to the man, “Would you like to have a copy of one of these pictures?” He said, “Oh no, I have to go now.” And he went out the door, I did not hear a car start, so I looked out the window and saw nothing, and went and opened up the door and saw nothing. There wasn’t a soul out there!

But I have a friend I’ve known for many, many years in Virginia. He and I have talked at length a lot about the powers of the pyramids and so forth. So I shared this with him and he said “We’re going to go one day. We’re going to go.” I said, “I would love it.” Well we went. We went in 2001. That’s another story in itself, the experiences that we had, and being followed by the government there, and Gee, all kinds of things. It was very interesting.

Editor: Did you see any UFOs while you were there?

Ann: I did. There was this man who lived in this village that was right across from the pyramids and his family had been a part of that village for over 2000 years. I could not imagine tracing my family that far back. He lived in it’s like a four story, different things on each floor kind of building, and up at the very top floor was like a lanai, with seating all around it and he had heard that we were there, and the cab driver that we had hired to be with us for the whole time that we were there said that ______ wanted to meet us, so he took us over to _______’s house and we went up on the top floor up there and visited. It was an absolutely gorgeous view of the three pyramids at sunset. There were a few clouds in the sky, but none of them were reflecting the sunset, and then this one cloud, which hung in there till after the sunset, there was this red glow coming from that one cloud, and it hung in there, and then it just disappeared shortly after the sun went down. So we were pretty sure that we were seeing a UFO that was hiding in the cloud there.

Editor: Wow, so many stories.

Ann: Oh yeah. I’ve got a ga-zillion stories to tell you, and that was a very interesting trip. What we wanted to do when we were there, I kept getting that we needed to go into the pyramids and play a constant tonal sound in there. We had recorded it, and we were going to try and play it while we were in there. But we got shooed out because the Minister of Finance showed up so we couldn’t do what we wanted to do. But we were given permission. Hawass signed the permission and gave the permit to do what we wanted to do when we were on the premises of the pyramid grounds. And it was just in this last year I was listening to Art Bell and he was interviewing the man who wrote the Keys of Enoch, J.J. Hurtak, and he said that he had gone into the pyramid, played that tonal sound, and it just vibrated the entire pyramid and these symbols, which there are no symbols or writings inside the pyramids at all. These symbols all began to appear. So that’s very interesting. I wish that we could have done our own experiment.

Editor: Now this was the same tonal frequency?

Ann: He had three different tonal frequencies. One of them was the one we were using.

Editor: Where does it come from? Where did you get it?

Ann: Well what we did is we used an electronic keyboard and played the tonal sound in B-flat. The other one is F-sharp. Hmm. What was the other one? Anyway, if you hold the key down it plays a constant sound.

Editor: Okay, so you just recorded that?

Ann: So we recorded that.

Editor: How did you know to do that inside the pyramid?

Ann: It was just like it came to me. It was given to me. It was like I had this whole thing I think we should try this experiment.

Editor: Okay, and then this Jim Hurtak had this same idea?

Ann: He did it as well. It does, in some way, alters the energy that’s around you and in the pyramid, and I think, and this is just my opinion, but I think that Hurtak knew more, and that there was more that they got out of that experience than what he said on the radio. He’s probably not talking about it because a lot of his experiments and research and study that he does gets funded by the government and stuff.
