The Incredible World of Dr. Bruce Cornet

By Alexander Zikas, MS Chemical Engineering

Researcher and Founding Member, www.PhilosophersAssembly.com

How we perceive our world is perhaps one of the most fascinating subjects because it is not a fixed science and our subjective opinions color our perspectives and ultimately the impact our actions have on ever aspect of life and society. Plato’s Theaetetus and its section on perception is the first logical study of the subject. Amazing too is our social debate on what some people claim to perceive. Since time immemorial some people have claimed to experience psychic phenomena whose definitive explanation is eluded till this day, and in fact whose mystery has grown into a widespread pop culture of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs), cults, and other strange beliefs. Logically speaking though, we cannot dismiss these strange perceptions. Ten years of research and personal experience has led me to believe that unusual phenomena can be explained by Archetypes. An Archetype is an inherited pattern of thought or symbolic imagery derived from past collective social experience and is present in our unconsciousness. It can be our psychic disposition, thought-forms, instincts, or a separate sentient energy to which we communicate, but may be experienced according to our beliefs. Some of the most primordial Archetypal interactions are related to our striving to understand the soul, the duality of good and evil, the spiritual, and our cultural roots. The beauty of Archetype Theories as found on the Agenda page of the www.PhilosophersAssembly.com website is that an explanation is offered as to what triggers the strange perceptions of people claiming to see them. Whether one believes they are misidentified objects or truly a supernatural event, Archetype Theories offer a clue to how we tap into those alternative perceptions. As a researcher, I am aware of my own relatively normal perceptions until age 35 in 1997 when I began investigating unusual phenomena. Since then, my experiences as to what I perceive have been anything but normal. I ask myself what has changed? Part of the answer lies in becoming aware of one’s feelings, symbolisms in life, awareness of subtle synchronicities, and the wonderment of the possibility to perceive something different. One might say that such a mindset is common among spiritual monks, and I would agree. It is not an easy mindset to develop overnight, but it is certainly possible. Although I have plenty of my own incredible tales, it is the work of Dr. Bruce Cornet that I would like to examine here. Dr. Cornet is an incredible man of many unusual experiences. It is easy to dismiss his work because it is too incredible. Indeed, it was my years of association with Dr. Cornet that I come to appreciate what he says. He has taught me many things on how to perceive, and true to his words, I have experienced many wonders the ordinary person rarely receives. Dr. Cornet does not have all the answers. He may be wrong on some or many things. However, Dr. Cornet has blazed a path to follow for others seeking to understand our place in the universe. It is the questions that Dr. Cornet poses and the data he attempts to compile which will be his legacy.

Dr. Bruce Cornet is perhaps the most interesting figure in the investigation of unusual phenomena today. He is my friend and fellow researcher. It is Dr. Cornet’s research and collected data in the investigation of UFOs that most intrigues me. While Dr. Cornet may be most partial to the belief that he is investigating extraterrestrial craft, I believe his research supports the idea that UFOs are a type of psychic Archetype as proposed by Dr. Carl Jung, famous student of Sigmund Freud. If so, Dr. Cornet’s research is the first in the world that helps define these archetypes and their properties. When dealing with Archetypes, we should remind ourselves that myths and legends do not represent historical facts, but they may refer to or implicate truths which are not self evident. Can certain people or groups of people tap this Archetypal energy to witness some filtered imagery of the familiar and our deepest subconscious? Take for example, the information gathered by Dr. Cornet in his research, easily found with an Internet search on his name, such as at www.abcfield.force9.co.uk/b_cornet/index2.html . I speculate that Dr. Cornet’s recording of unusual “airplanes” and the symbolic gestures they perform are our own grasping of this Archetypal energy filtered in a form familiar to us, but with a subconscious hidden message. Why has Dr. Cornet seen this? I propose it is because Dr. Cornet is psychically prone and also possesses the philosophic curiosity and ability to study the phenomenon. Like several researchers of unusual phenomena, they become frequent experiencers of it. This is not because they are chosen as a project by some unseen entity, but because they have learned, consciously or subconsciously, to tap the Archetypes, much like a monk does in his power of prayer.

Dr. Cornet earned his B.A. in biology and M.S. in paleobotany at the University of Connecticut, and his Ph.D. in geology and palynology at the Pennsylvania State University. He is an author of many scientific papers and two books, all on paleontological and/or geological subjects. He has 14 years experience in the oil industry, and was president of Geminoil, Inc., which successfully explored for and found oil on the East Coast in the early 1980's in Triassic age rocks thought to be barren of hydrocarbons. Media coverage for Dr. Bruce Cornet over the years has included dozens of magazine and journal articles, television appearances, radio talk show appearances, and speaking at professional conferences, as documented on his website.

After watching the miniseries on television called Intruders in May of 1992, Dr. Cornet sought more information on the subject of alien abductions. Prior to that miniseries he had no interest and almost no conscious knowledge of UFOs or aliens. He went to the bookstore and found one book that in hindsight changed his life, research interests, and career goals. It was Silent Invasion (1991) by Ellen Crystall. From reading that book he discovered that he lived next to a major UFO hotspot in Orange County, New York. He contacted Ellen, and she took him out into the field with her. It only took two visits to the Pine Bush area before he realized that what he was seeing was too weird to be explained as either natural phenomena or conventional aircraft. He began a 20 square mile magnetic and geologic survey of the area, which was completed in 1995. From that survey he discovered magnetic anomalies that could not be produced by any natural or known phenomena. He witnessed and recorded compass directional changes during the photographing of a UFO appearance, indicating a synchronous aerial magnetic anomaly.

Dr. Cornet photographically recorded with time exposures over 100 night sightings and close encounters, including low (500 feet) supersonic fly-overs and spectacular maneuvers of plasma lights in the sky. Cornet’s photographs show plasma bubbles being generated (identified and confirmed by plasma physicists). The plasma lights can be powered up to 30 times normal size and brightness, lighting up the sky and causing the ionization of the atmosphere to produce plumes of visible nitrous oxide gases. Such displays involve enormous amounts of energy. Plasmas are hot ionized gases, the atoms of which have their electrons moving from one atomic shell to another producing light. Their locale on Earth is the atmosphere, which is comprised dominantly of Nitrogen and Oxygen. They are extremely unstable entities, which seek to reach stable states of existence by forming spherical volumes. Without a controlled magnetic environment that allows them to exist in our domain, they will interact with their surroundings to form more stable energy states and disappear. The plasmas recorded by Cornet were aerial objects that moved like aircraft. When recorded using sensitive IR (Infra Red) film, these sources of light appear extremely hot, and unlike lamps of conventional aircraft.

Dr. Cornet’s has photographic and audio documentation that the objects he observes can mimic conventional aircraft light patterns and colors, produce conventional aircraft sounds, and even change shape to confuse and/or deceive observers. From Cornet’s observations, most objects travel silently; they can hover, make high-speed right angle turns, and can accelerate to incredible speeds in an instant. He has documented with cameras on tripods two feet apart that the objects can project different images to each camera and observer. He has dozens of time exposure photographs showing plasma lights in double helix patterns complete with nodes, Fibonacci vortices, giant loops of spiral light, and various types of wave forms, small spirals, alternating loops, and harmonic oscillations that cannot be reproduced by camera vibration or any known natural phenomena. Dr. Cornet even has two photographs showing objects diving into the ground without any visible effect.

Dr. Cornet’s logic and reasoning for taking time exposures of these objects are purposeful. Still shots provide very little information other than number, position, and colors of lights. Time exposures give you movement, flight behavior, strobe patterns, as well as changes in lights due either to changes in object orientation relative to the camera or to intentional turning of lights on or off. Conventional aircraft normally fly in relatively straight paths unless banking or turning. Sudden stops in air, right angle turns, supersonic speeds at low altitude without sonic booms, flying backwards, changes in lighting pattern from one time exposure to another (not due to orientation), special lighting effects such as plasma plumes or orbs, tight loops, and spirals are just some of the abnormal patterns of light movement that have been recorded on time exposures. Of particular interest are photographs of light signatures that spiral and/or create double helix patterns when time exposures are made. Sequences of time exposures for several encounters show purposeful movements or signatures of light just after the camera shutter opened and just before it closed. In my opinion these performances, their properties, their timing, and their synchronicity are indicative of a mental activity connected to, and tapping, the Archetypes. Through photographing numerous performances Dr. Cornet became aware of changes in his mental state during the events. He found that he could override or confuse the situation by deliberately changing his thoughts and reactions, which resulted in out-of-sync patterns of light movement.

There is an important distinction I would like to make between Dr. Cornet’s work and the work of my friend and fellow Archetype researcher Matt Graeber, whose articles appear on the www.PhilosophersAssembly.com website. Graeber’s Dynamic Displays (D.D.) are a form of conscious perception of a misidentified real world physical object situation, and/or confrontation that mimics or mirrors a then present unconscious psychical constellation (or complex) which may be adversely affecting the observer(s). Thus, the outside world experience/perception represents an encounter with one’s own unconscious self-status. That is self-status, in relationship to ones fears, anxieties, expectations, wants, needs, desires, etc., at the time of the UFO incident. Graeber feels that the display’s perception serves as a release valve (so-to-speak) for the excess psychical energy (Libido to use the Freudian term) that has been assigned to the psychical complex affecting the individual(s). Graeber’s second hypothesis pertains to the opposite type of dual perceptional experience that he calls "Dual Process of Perception" or, D.P.P. In D.P.P. the unconscious production of imagery (as in dreams and nightmares) are projected upon and perceived to be operating within a familiar and real world environment. This may apply to some UFO experiences and many other possible paranormal experiences as well. D.P.P. events may be analyzed very much like D.D. that is, from a symbolic/Archetypal point of view. There is still a great deal of research to be completed in these areas. Graeber believes that research should be advance by psychology professionals and not UFOlogists. Neither D.D. nor D.P.P. appear to be hallucinatory, in that no pathology may be easily ascribed to them. Thus, Graeber tends to feel that they are more "Vision-Like" experiences, i.e., the Fatima event. Graeber’s theories stop here as his work is grounded in normal experience, as he has not experienced any type of psychical ability enhancement. What I am speculating takes Graeber’s theories and applies and assigns an external force or agent to the events he describes. Thus I speculate that what Dr. Cornet experienced and experiences is related to his own enhanced psychical abilities to perceive Archetypes, whether they have been projected by his mind, or are of an independent sentient variety. Dr. Cornet’s work is outstanding in this respect. It documents energy related phenomena and imagery.

I have difficulty believing that physical extraterrestrials exist and spend enormous amounts of their time and resources performing for researchers like Dr. Cornet and to many common citizens via frequent sightings and experiences. Instead, if we assume that the phenomenon does exist, I speculate that it is we who initiate the event. They are our own subconscious projections of power or sentient Archetypal communication that we initiate. The Archetype responds in a way much as if we were to call someone on a cell phone and commence conversation. Many people who see unusual phenomena are spiritual people. So is Dr. Cornet. So am I. Cornet’s website Esoteric Notes explores the area of spirituality as understood by Dr. Cornet. Spirituality is important because it helps defines who we are and our role in the universe. Cornet’s Esoteric Notes has evolved out of research into religion, esoteric beliefs, paranormal experiences, epiphanies, and possible extraterrestrial contact. Because some of the discoveries and revelations are of a very personal nature, Cornet was led on a search for the truth about his/our existence and place in the universe. His truth may not be your truth. That too, I found, is characteristic of Archetypes.

Dr. Cornet has compiled an interesting set of properties for the objects he has seen, which I believe are Archetypes. In my opinion, what he has found is indicative of unusual energy patterns behaving in a sentient way as if communicating to our desire to communicate. What we perceive is perhaps more symbolic and not definitive as we are not fully biologically capable of such Archetypal communication. I remember sitting on a beach in Greece a few years ago when a stray dog walked up to me and plopped itself on me to rest, as if I were some old and trusted friend. I wondered why in amazement this dog chose me over others. I wondered why he was not aggressive like many other stray dogs in the neighborhood. Research has indicated that dogs and some other animals have a type of sixth sense. Did this dog sense something in me? Was his affection to be next to me a decision in which he knew he would receive a form of unusual communication back to him that of a man offering his pleasant thoughts and comforting lap for a short time? Is this how the seemingly sentient Archetypal energy sees us humans, as a kind of life form that is seeking to communicate but cannot fully reach the level of the more superior partner in that communication?

To summarize, Dr. Cornet has found the following properties associated with airborne night-time objects in Pine Bush, NY area:

· Imagery roughly mimicking aircraft behavior, lighting, and changing patterns and intensity of lighting.

· Certain data characteristics remaining constant or nearly so such as times of performances (dusk to Midnight) and places of performances.

· Stealth in appearance (i.e. low observable).

· Flaring of headlights during initial approach to the camera.

· Strobes that can resemble the colors and positions of navigation lights on conventional aircraft, but morph and change position, color, and number.

· Aspects of flight patterns that resembled the aerodynamic performances of conventional aircraft.

· Sounds that resembled those of conventional aircraft, but when spectrographically analyzed they are quite different from the sounds of conventional aircraft, and belie their exotic nature. The sounds were synthetic, composed of numerous individual frequencies blended together to produce a jet-like sound.

· Ability of objects to travel at speeds well below the stall speed of conventional fixed-wing jets and propeller-driven aircraft.

· Ability of objects to stop in air, make sharp right angle turns while moving, and to fly sideways and even backwards.

· Ability of objects to do maneuvers which would be difficult for even the best human pilots to perform, and suicidal to make at night and below 1,000 feet altitude over wooded areas, such as rolling over and flying upside down.

· Ability of objects to unfold and fold up its wings, and to fly without wings.

· Ability of objects to cut all sound and to produce harmonic sounds rather than sounds typical of turbine or propeller-driven aircraft.

· Ability of objects to travel at supersonic speeds without making a sonic boom or creating any noise or significant air turbulence.

· Unusual shapes, which range from triangles to diamonds and boomerangs, and the ability to blend in with the night background and reflect minimal or no light from the various navigation lights and strobes that they carried, even when headlights flared or strobes flashed so brightly that their intensity would illuminate major portions of the airframe of a conventional jetliner.

· Tendency to create Skyglyphs.

· Presence of magnetic ground and air anomalies at locations of activity.

· Synchronicity between time exposures and object movement, as if mentally in-sync and posing for the time exposures.

Skeptics say that Cornet is seeing conventional aircraft because of the light patterns they display, the sounds they produce, and the proximity of two airports. However, too few people are well trained in aircraft observation. They were too easily persuaded to stereotype the event based on inadequate data, and too willing to look past or discount anomalous evidence. This is typical behavior in filtering Archetypal experiences to fit ones beliefs. Below is a compilation that highlights some of Dr. Cornet’s research that can be found in detail on his websites.

Chronology of Dr. Cornet’s Research and Experiences Potentially Attributable to Archetypes

1981 October 1: Just west of Richmond, Virginia, a UFO abducted Bruce Cornet from a mud logging trailer in the early morning of in front of his stunned drill crew. He was found missing by his mud loggers after they saw small figures transporting a body in a beam of light, which descended from the UFO. Dr. Cornet did not fully recover what happened to him until he was regressed hypnotically in 1995. Could the UFO and abduction imagery (both which were not physically tangible) be the consequence of a psychic Archetype experience? Is Cornet a modern day Persephone, taken to an unseen psychic realm? On November 17, 2001, I witnessed a similar UFO in the vicinity of the Cornet’s abduction. The object was not solid, but appeared to be a morphing mushroom shaped object.

1992 June 23 July 13: Bruce Cornet, invited by Ellen Crystall, conducts his first UFO research collecting data and experiencing first hand the low flying (under 1500 feet) nocturnal UFO phenomena that Ellen Crystall had claimed in her book, Silent Invasion. Cornet used the term Transient Luminescent Phenomenon (TLP) to describe the UFOs he saw. Already we see a definition away from the classic Hollywood saucer to a more appropriate term to capture the energy-based nature of these unusually shaped and behaving objects, which could really be psychic Archetypes.

1992 August 6-29: Ellen Crystall and Bruce Cornet were working together and sharing data from 1992 to 1994. On 6 August 1992 a mini-flap occurred over Orange County, NY. It was witnessed by hundreds of people. In a time exposure photograph on August 29, a flying lighted object made loops of light in its trajectory, while its overall path remained straight and unchanged. The camera was solidly mounted on a stable tripod, and airplanes do not make this type of internal variation in a light.

1992 September: Unusual shapes, lights, and sounds at night continue to manifest in Pine Bush, NY. On six separate occasions a lighted flying object made a sky glyph that resembled the letter S (in the time exposures). One in 1992, two in 1993, and three in 1994. In all six examples, the object performed the sky glyph in the eastern sky, and finished the glyph by traveling south. It was not until October 1994 that an object actually tagged the brightest star (light) in the eastern sky, Sirius. Superman is a character whose tales can be found at almost any newsstand where comics are sold. He came from another world, and who helps humans in benevolent ways. Could it be that these objects are psychic Archetypes communicating to us through the use of symbols? If these Archetypes wanted to give us a message, which it hoped would be received positively, what familiar metaphor could it use? The 'S' shape of the April 1993 closely matches the Superman logo 'S' in shape. Is this communication via the use of symbols and metaphors, so typical of psychic Archetype phenomena?

1992 October 2-4: On 2 October 1992 Bruce Cornet witnessed an object descend below tree top level 3 miles away from their observation station on Muddy Kill Lane, Montgomery, NY. He noticed a golden yellow light approaching. This TLP moved quickly and then slowed down to nearly a stop, moved gain and slowed down without changing apparent direction, repeating that patterns several times before descending at a 7 degree angle to a field. On 4 October 1992 Bruce Cornet went to Stewart Air Force Base near Newburgh, NY to photograph aircraft with navigation lights on at dusk. He witnessed and photographed a C-5 military transport aircraft disappear and then reappear as it landed. The United States Airforce reacted quickly. Lights flashed, sirens wailed, MPs sped to his location to find out who was photographing the C-5. When Dr. Cornet later asked officials at the airport if he could photograph planes landing and taking off, he was essentially told, “Knock your self out!” There were no restrictions, because it was a public airport as well as a military airport with nothing to hide. It was a C-5 training base. Was the Airforce just following standard security practices, or was it concerned about something else, or perhaps just as baffled?

1993 April 29: A Manta Ray shaped object appears before the Sightings TV show camera crew. This object put on a spectacular performance before professional cameras. Between 8:41 PM and 10:09 PM eight objects were videotaped and/or photographed, six of which flew in the air while two appeared to be observing near or on the ground.

1993 November 12: Three people, including Cornet spotted what appeared to be a small jetliner on approach to Steward airport (located 10 miles away). But after it passed them, making the sound of a jet aircraft, it suddenly made two steep banks or turns, and then seemed to dive at a high angle straight down towards the ground. They expected to see a fireball rise up from behind the trees. But there was no explosion. There was nothing but deafening silence. Did this group witness an Archetype object penetrating the ground? Greco-Roman mythology, based on divine Archetypes, is full of imagery of beings entering the ground to reach Hades.

1994 May 9-10: On 9 May Bruce Cornet drove to Pine Bush, NY, in order to survey activity at night. A Japanese film crew was doing a special on the Pine Bush phenomenon with Ellen Crystall for Nippon Television. On 10 May a helicopter was rented to fly Cornet and one of the Japanese cameramen around the area. Several times Cornet and Crystall had photographed the same lights in the night sky, both taking time exposures. The images they got, however, showed significant differences. Each pair of images showed the same tree line and the light doing the same aerobatics in the sky. But one picture contained some movement or feature that the other picture did not. Because the cameras of Crystall and Cornet were positioned within 5 feet of one another, and both were securely mounted on tripods, the differences appeared to originate at the light source, and not at the camera. I would consider this additional evidence that the observed experience was Archetypal in nature, and that part of the differences captured on film were because of the differences in mental perception and projection of the two observers onto their film.

1994 October 11: Cornet had been invited to participate in an hour cable TV show. The show, entitled 'Investigations UFO', went very well. As Cornet began his trip back home on the Garden State Parkway, he noticed single bright white lights on either side of the highway. They were situated about 1/4 mile ahead; about two tree heights above the ground, with one to his right and one to his left. Each light was over the trees well beyond the edge of the pavement, but probably no more than a few hundred feet from the road. As soon as he saw the lights he sensed a strong telepathic feeling of joy and excitement. Cornet explained the sensation by crudely comparing it to the background noise on a two-way radio with receiver open. He got the mental impression of pleasure with what he had said and shown on 'Investigations UFO' show. These lights paced his truck for 4 miles before the light on the left took off at a high rate of speed to its left. Both lights matched his speed, and when he stopped for the first toll, both lights slowed and stopped also. As he accelerated, they both accelerated. Just before the left light departed, Cornet "overheard" a telepathic message from the object on the left to the object on the right, which said in essence, "I am going over there to check on something, and will return." As soon as Cornet got that thought, the object on the left took off at a high rate of speed. Again, this example shows a phenomenon more commonly associated with psychic Archetype communication than Hollywood saucers. The telepathic communication also included an indication of humor, when the smaller object projected the thought, “You must have problems refueling.” In other words, it did not have such a problem of having to refuel on a repeated basis.

1995 May 31: Cornet captured on film what appears to have been a deliberate holographic-like image of a golden pyramid projected during a flash of light coming out of the ground. Thus we have more documentation of projected images rather than physical objects. The Archetypal clues keep accumulating.

1995 June 10: Cornet spotted a bright set of headlights in his rear view mirror. The headlights caught his attention because they were coming up much faster than 65 mph. Cornet yelled to his two passengers to look behind them. They screamed, as the headlights seemed to be on a collision course. But about 500 feet behind them the lights lifted up off the highway and flew over the trees along side the highway, slowing rapidly to the speed of their van.

1996 August 9-10: Bruce Cornet witnessed several take-offs, landings, and hoverings of a Manta Ray-shaped object. The film was highly sensitive IR film, which will become over-exposed easily by heat sources. This dropped down out of sight behind a row of trees and turned out its lights, or it disappeared into the ground.

1997 January 25: Three objects flew over Bruce Cornet. Following one fly-over, Cornet watched from another location as each of the objects flew towards the same area in the Wallkill River valley, made a U-turn, brightened their lights to sunburst intensity, then dimmed them, followed by each one in turn slowly descended into an area where Lake Osiris is located. A video shows the objects descending slowly below tree top level as if on a landing approach, but there is no commercial or private airport located anywhere near where they disappeared.

1997 May 17: Bruce Cornet witnessed and recorded a black triangular object on near Montgomery, NY, at about 11:10 pm. The object flipped over and flew upside down and sideways for a distance before righting itself in a most unusual manner, which cannot be duplicated by a fixed-wing aircraft so low to the ground and at night. Then the object did a series of turns without banking, descended very slowly, and disappeared below tree top level in an area where no airport or landing strip exists. As it did so it vented a plume of golden white plasma. On 12 August 1993 Bruce witnessed and photographed an almost duplicate performance by another TLP.

1997 October 3: MUFON investigators, including myself, gathered at Newburgh, NY, for a 3-day field trip. They wanted to collect data at night using various types of instruments and cameras. The team also investigated the Indian mound located on the Owen dairy farm at the center of the UFO hotspot. Circular discolorations in the grasses can still be seen from the air. For most of the evening the team saw and recorded conventional aircraft either flying towards or from Stewart International Airport, or flying at high altitude over the valley. It wasn't until Cornet had his film developed that he discovered anomalies. Lights appeared to strobe on the time exposures, but which did not strobe on the video, and glowing bars of light across the leading edges of both wings on an aircraft. In addition, the running lights on the video appear normal: White, green, and red. But all the lights on the time exposures are a golden color. The wing dihedral appears to portend an angle of 15 to 20 degrees or more (this is usually about 5 to 7 degrees). Dihedral enhances stability during turns. There is no reflection of light off of a forward-projecting fuselage, and no reflection of light off of a tail section. The sound produced by the boomerang-shaped object resembles that of a conventional jetliner to the unaided ear. The sound spectra are quite different from that of conventional aircraft jet engines in the following ways. There is little or no white noise. White noise from jet engines typically ranges from 2 kHz up to 8 kHz, but the spectrogram of the object shows the highest frequencies reaching only 2.4 kHz. The frequencies of conventional jet engines tend to blend together to form gradational frequency changes.

2000 January 15: On a trip to Walker Valley, NY, two objects flew over Cornet. One flew over his car from behind, slowed down to his speed, and paced him for a short distance. It had a solid white light with a red pulsing light to the right. It made no sound.

In conclusion, the wealth of data Dr. Cornet has compiled is invaluable in studying the properties of unusual phenomena. It was this raw data that I examined in the context of Archetype Theory. The use of Dr. Cornet’s information in this article is not his endorsement that Archetype Theory explains the phenomena that he recorded. Rather the presentation of his research as provided in this article is my interpretation of Cornet’s work. However, Dr. Cornet is aware of my interpretation and we are actively engaged as colleagues in the philosophic enquiry as to what has been happening at Pine Bush and other select locations. We share many ideas and have been on field expeditions together. Interestingly too, is that for several years prior to Dr. Cornet’s first sightings with Ellen Crystall (in June 1992), on his way to work he had daytime fantasies of being paced by a manta-ray-shaped object, which was following him over the trees on one side of the highway or the other. Dr. Cornet saw nothing, but imagined such an object keeping him company. He imagined its size, shape, and black (stealth) color before ever seeing one for real. He imagined what other drivers on the highway would think if they saw this object. Was he creating a template for an Archetypal experience in the future, or was something preparing him for his later experiences and sightings?
